Globally, the majority of aerosol cans are manufactured from tin-plated steel or aluminium and are fully recyclable with similar other products such as food and beverage cans.

Aerosol cans are under pressure and can contain hazardous materials, so care must be taken. Here are a few guidelines:

• Ensure that this can is finished/empty;
• Don’t ever pierce or attempt to open the can;

Empty aerosol cans can be mixed in with your other household waste or you can place them in the metal receptacle at your local collection depot.
